This website was developed as a tool to managers, scientists and users of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). With this tool, you can classify any MPA based on the regulations (allowed uses) which apply to those areas. When planning new MPAs, you can also test the protection levels of the MPA and of each of the zones inside that MPA (in case they are present). Importantly, you can simulate how changes in regulations and zoning can impact MPA design and protection levels.
